Breakthrough in negotiations with Oxford University Press: Zurich University Library and Zurich Central Library will once again have access to journal articles published in 2022. The new license also includes a Read & Publish agreement.
After tough negotiations between the consortium of Swiss university libraries and Oxford University Press (OUP), which had been inconclusive for a long time, these have now been successfully concluded. Beginning in January 2023, a consortium license for the publisher's electronic journals has been achieved. This means that articles published in 2022 will also be accessible again with immediate effect.
The new two-year license includes a Read & Publish agreement. This allows members of the participating universities to access the journal offering ("Read") as well as facilitated publishing in open access at no additional cost to the researchers ("Publish"). It is the first such agreement by Oxford University Press in Switzerland and a further step towards the goals of the National Open Access Strategy
