Restricted Access to ZORA due to High Server Load
Due to steadily increasing pressure from automated traffic (e.g., bots, crawlers, and DDoS attacks), our servers have been overloaded more frequently in recent weeks, causing ZORA to be unavailable more often. This issue is not unique to us and is currently affecting many repositories worldwide.
To ensure system stability and continued usability of ZORA, external access has been temporarily restricted. ZORA is therefore now only accessible via the UZH network or through VPN.
Access remains available for members of UZH and affiliated institutions (USZ, Balgrist, PUK and KiSpi).

At the same time, we are working intensively on solutions to make ZORA more broadly accessible again in the long term. Together with our IT teams, we are evaluating short-, medium-, and long-term measures to improve the situation.
