The project "MAGIE" moves into its next phase

© MAGIE Projekt

The citizen science project MAGIE has entered a new phase following its introductory workshops. Together with citizen scientists, new, contemporary, and inclusive fairy tales are being developed in creative workshopstories that can support children in their development.

Based on classic fairy tales, a toolkit of characters, motifs, and turning points has been created, allowing for new combinations. At the same time, initial psychological approaches are being explored, such as how emotions can be conveyed in ways that are accessible to children and how storytelling can encourage a conversation between readers and children.

A particular highlight was the storytelling evening at the end of March, during which fairy tales from different parts of the world were shared and discussed together. This demonstrated just how differently stories can be experienced and perceived.

New variations of fairy tales are currently being developed, while a study is being prepared in parallel to investigate their effects on children. Interested individuals are still welcome to join the project.

All information about upcoming events can be found on the project’s event page.
