New Open Access Agreements with Scientific Publishers

The University Library Zurich has reached two new Open Access agreements with academic publishers. As a result, members of the University of Zurich (UZH) and the affiliated hospitals benefit from expanded opportunities to publish their research results Open Access free of charge.

An agreement has been reached with the Public Library of Science (PLOS) that enables free publishing in eight Open Access journals, including PLOS ONE and PLOS Genetics. Article processing charges will be covered without limitation until the end of the year. Further information on the included journals and the publication process can be found here.

In addition, an Open Access agreement has been concluded with Pensoft Publishers. The publisher, based in Bulgaria, specializes in journals in the fields of biodiversity and environmental sciences. Article processing charges will be covered as long as the agreed budget is available. Further details can be found here.
